SUMMER 2010 (tentative date set for Sunday, July 25)
On the day before the opening of the 100th Anniversary National Jamboree, Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturer, and Explorer units will be joined by by Jamboree units from all around the country on their way to Fort A.P. Hill. Together this will form the NCAC/BSA Grand Centennial Parade & Review of thousands of Scouts along Constitution Avenue in Washington DC.
Everyone loves a parade!...Especially when it's for you! From a historical prospective, nothing comes close to this except for the first National Scout Jamboree of 1937. That was when President Franklin Roosevelt reviewed 27,000 Scouts who lined both sides of Constitution Avenue for three miles! Can we get 27,000 Scouts to participate? Stay tuned for details!
