The Course For Wood Badge is the premier advanced leadership training program for adult Scouters. It is designed to provide Scouters with leadership skills necessary to significantly improve the areas of Scouting they serve. It gives Scouters the opportunity to experience a 'mountaintop experience' and the joys of Scouting. All qualified Scouters who want to improve their personal leadership skills are encouraged to attend.

The course requires a committment of two 3-day weekends, and application period of up to 18 months to apply and assess what you have learned. Qualifications: Each candidate adult participating in Wood Badge must be currently registered with the Boy Scouts of America, and have completed both New Leader Essentials and the Program Specific Training provided for their primary position in Scouting and have a working knowledge of their program area.
